Welcome, Caravel Academy!

Welcome, Caravel Academy!

Caravel Academy hosted their first ever blood drive on February 29th--Leap Day! The Blood Bank is very happy to have them join the First Time Donor Program. Students and staff donated 36 pints of blood at their blood drive.

Special thanks to the Tri-M students who coordinated this event.  They are already looking forward to next year!

Photo credit: The Chick-fil-A cow thanked donors and handed out coupons. He was really mooooo-ved by the students saving lives.

Blood Drop Fun Fact: Did you know that cows have over 800 different blood types?

Blood User Becomes Blood Donor

Blood User Becomes Blood Donor

Like many other students, Sean Woods rolled up his sleeve for the first time to save lives at the recent William Penn High School blood drive. Sean was happy to be able to give back a gift that he had received many years ago. After his premature birth, he needed many blood transfusions during his 6-month hospital. Sean wouldn't be here today without the gift of life--blood. He said he was glad to be able to donate blood and save someone else's life.

Thank you Sean, for sharing your story, and for saving lives!
